TECHNOLOGY 3D & CNC
In order to obtain the best precision and professional profiles for my saddles, I have a CNC machine constructed for this purpose. With a computer modeling tree I can be sure that the symmetry and the folding of the front and back seat will be perfect.
In my work I use the wood of alder, birch in some cases and also beech. I am using only 1st class materials.
Thus prepared trees are then covered with layers of epoxy resin that protects against moisture.
In addition, the technology CNC milling machines allows you to make more complex models of saddle tree, including for historical reconstructions.

In the first stage it is necessary to measure the dimensions of the horse by sending my measure tools. and subsequently to transfer them into the program, creating a 3D model of the spine.
Then I work on the shape of the tree and on fitting it on the model of the horse's back through the 3D program.
What's important, the program gives you the possibility of an accurate 3D copy of profiles of trees and seats of the leading saddle brands in the world.
The final stage of 3D modeling is to match all elements of the tree and then prepare them for CNC processing.
The most difficult step is the precise and accurate cut-out of such a complex 3D model.
The matching of pre-prepared elements leads to the rise of a very precise saddle tree with a selected profile of seat. We end with the stirrups' slots and the smoothing of the saddle.
The culmination of the work is the final fitting of the saddle tree, built according to the above diagram to the living horse. I always send a tree prepared to ride so the customer himself can check the folding. What we need are photos from the stage of folding of the tree, such as the following.
Importantly, the customer has the opportunity to test the main element (tree) while riding and check the profile of the seat for a week.
This allows the application of any amendments before finishing the saddle, if needed.
The saddle tree is sequentially sent me to finish it according to the agreed model.
The saddle tree presented below lies properly in accordance with the principles of Roda Nikkel. The back plate is slightly protruding. The part on the shoulders doesn't dig into the body, but loosely rests on the muscles. Between the withers and the interior height of the front is preserved a space for a minimum of 2 fingers.
In this case, the horse is slightly high in the withers, that's why we have a higher gullet. The photo made from the side shows that the profile of the seat is leveled.
The final product is a finished project that is completely unique and individually tailored to the requirements of horse and rider.
